Powell Nature Preserve has a relatively short lollipop trail that follows a stream and then circles an open meadow. Look for goldenrod, ironweed, and jewelweed, along with monarchs, swallowtails, and other butterflies in late summer.
Directions
Monroe County. From IN 46 x Matthews Rd in Ellettsville, north 1.4 miles on Matthews, then left on Mt. Tabor Rd. Go 5.3 miles to Brighton Rd, then left 0.3 miles to parking on the left.
