An exposed loop trail circles this large wetland, just east of Hawthorn Park. The biggest attraction for me is the insect life that abounds in the warmer months. Dragonflies cruise ceaselessly and butterflies visit the flowers that line the path. Not the prettiest preserve, but warmth brings activity, if perhaps at small scale.
